In fact, even the izakaya menu at Kushikatsu Idoya is surprisingly elaborate. Basically, everything is homemade. We have a wide variety of delicious dishes, including kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), motsunabe (offal hotpot) with a distinctive dashi broth, salt-grilled wild sweetfish from Totsukawa Village, sashimi made with chicken slaughtered that morning, and homemade obanzai (side dishes) that change weekly. Naniwa's kushikatsu is fried by Idoyan, who was trained in Osaka.

The owner discovered kushikatsu at the age of 17 and became obsessed with it. He studied and recreated the traditional kushikatsu, passing on his passion to the masters he met and creating a new kind of kushikatsu. This is Kushikatsu Idoya. The thin breading is custom-made to the millimeter. The kushikatsu has a subtle sweetness to it. Do you often feel heavy after eating fried foods? Those days are over! Please give it a try!
