In fact, even the izakaya menu at Kushikatsu Idoya is surprisingly elaborate. Basically, everything is homemade. We have a wide variety of delicious dishes, including kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), motsunabe (offal hotpot) with a distinctive dashi broth, salt-grilled wild sweetfish from Totsukawa Village, sashimi made with chicken slaughtered that morning, and homemade obanzai (side dishes) that change weekly. We also offer half-size portions that can be enjoyed by one person! Please feel free to order.

Naniwa's kushikatsu is fried by Idoyan, a chef trained in Osaka.

The owner discovered kushikatsu at the age of 17 and became addicted to it. He studied and recreated the traditional kushikatsu, and passed his passion on to the masters he met, resulting in the creation of a new kind of kushikatsu. This is Kushikatsu Idoya. The thin breading is made to order, measured down to the millimeter. The kushikatsu has a subtle sweetness to it. Fried foods can make you feel heavy? Well, those days are over!
